Happy 101

Hithere bloggers (:  So, last week I received my first two awards in the same night.  I found it funny because so did two other bloggers who I adore and follow.  I'd like to thank Tuesdai Noelle & Sammy for rewarding me (:

This award is called the happy 101 blogger award and the rules are:

1.)When you have received this award you must thank the person that awarded you this in the new post.
2.) Name the 10 things that make you happy
3.) Pass this award onto 10 other bloggers and inform the winners.

Things that make me happy:
1) My dogs
Even though Oreo and Brownie can drive me crazy, I love them. (:

2) My family
haha, um yea.  This is an aberration from my brother, Thomas's, normal behavior.  That's why I love this picture.
My sister, Amanda, is my best friend.  We laugh together, fight together, cry together, and then laugh again.
I love my mommy (:  She's the kindest and most considerate person I've ever met.
My dad kind of lives in his own world at times but I love him for it.

I cannot express how thankful I am to have such a supporting family.

3) My best friend
Tiffany and I have been friends since kindergarten and we've gotten even closer since highschool started.  No matter what we've been through, and we have lost a number of "friends" along the way, we've stuck together.  We find the same things hysterical when everyone else just stares at us, wondering what's going on.  Hehe, I love her.

4) My sketchbook
I hate reposting pictures, but I don't have any new sketches at the moment!

5) Frappachinos
Yum :P

6) New York City
Living so close to the fashion capital of the world is amazing. <3

7) Inspirational Designers
Balenciaga
Anna Sui
Stella McCartney
Jill Stuart
Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel
& Of course, Alexander McQueen.

8) Elephants
Are they not adorable?  Haha, and elephants are very smart.  I hear they have a really good memory, which I don't have so I admire that.

9) My Lovely Followers
Duh, I mean this blog would not be the same with out my pretty little readers!

10)  My Camera
Must I explain this one?  I think all bloggers and people interested in fashion can understand.

Now, I'd like to pass this award onto the following blogs:
Aurora
Cassieopeia
Chai, love, vintage
"...a reflection by Tuesdai"
Lovely Laura
Nicola Ticola Ponders
Pandora's Box
Sorreal
vanilla ice cream
We were Floating

Oh & don't forget to check out Gizelle's give-away on Vanilla Ice Cream!

My Current Craving

Get ready for a long picture post..

Anna Sui

Alexander McQueen

Cynthia Rowley

Off the Runway
Forever 21

Marina Makaron Moscow

Urban Outfitters

There are SO many possibilities when it comes to bold and colorful prints.  I am IN LOVE with Anna Sui's Spring line.  It's so vibrant and young.  I wanted to post every piece in the collection here, but eleven will do.    One of my favorites was the opened, patterned dress.  Another was the blue jacket and skirt with white appliques and amazing gladiator sandals.

Ah, Alexander McQueen.  His death is such a tragedy.  Just look at his Spring collection!  I adore the abstract patterns.  I especially loved the asymmetrical piece.  It really makes you look twice.  The last royal blue piece is ethereal. (<--One of my vocabulary words, for English. ;D)

I know I've been going on about how much I love color and vibrancy but, I do like the subtlety of Cynthia Rowley's collection.   The purple tones are really nice.  I'm also a fan of jumpsuits.  I find her take interesting.

I found the top from Forever 21 in the boutique section.  There were other variations of the pattern, as well.
I learned about Marina Makaron Moscow from another blogger, Marjorie.  Here's the link to her blog:

Shine By Three  There you can find an interview with the designer.

Anyway, the patterns Marina Makaron designs are absolutely beautiful.  The bow at the top is also one of her designs.

Urban Outfitters never lets me down. (:  I love the geometric print on the first one and as for the second one, I've always been a fan of florals.
